Week 3: Yoga

Week 3: Yoga

I took on yoga for week 3 of #fitforsevens and loved all of it.

A big takeaway was to trust your yoga and to be patient with the process. I mostly followed beginner yoga flows and took it pretty easy during most workouts. It can be easy to get discouraged, don’t give up and as Yoga with Adriene says: “find what feels good”.

Breathing into the movements really makes a difference in your ability to get deeper into the stretches. I learned a lot about how important your breath is in yoga and I found that those lessons about breath helped me out in high intentsity workouts as well.

There are so many resources out there for yoga if this is something that you are looking to try. I had a lot of fun connecting with other yogis on Instagram and learning what their tips were. You can read more about that on my Instagram story here.

I set a goal for the week to get upside down at least once, and I conquered my fear of kicking up against a wall. That was the highlight for me and something that I never ever thought I was strong enough to do.

A question for you all:

  1. Should I do more weeks with yoga that focus on specific types of yoga? (Aerial yoga, hot yoga, etc.)
